We don't have the original drawings for our unit. Can you still repair it?
Yes. When drawings or spares aren't available, we measure the failed part, produce new drawings, source the material and manufacture a replacement to fit. There's no need to replace the whole unit.
Do you test the unit before it's returned or installed?
Yes. In-house testing covers steam to 60 bar, HPHW to 75 bar and LPHW to 22.5 bar, with CSWIP inspection and independent weld approvals on repair welds.
Do we need to send the unit to you, or can you attend site?
Both are available. Send the failed unit to our Hawick factory, or we can visit site to assess and test in place before agreeing the repair.
How quickly can you turn around an emergency repair?
This depends on the failure and the part. [NEEDS CLIENT INPUT: typical turnaround for an emergency/breakdown repair vs. a planned refurbishment. Share the actual figures with an engineer on enquiry.]
Do you only repair equipment, or can you supply new units too?
Everything we make is designed and manufactured to your specification, including hotwell tanks, dry air coolers and waste heat recovery systems. Repair and refurbishment is also available specifically for heat exchangers, coils and tube bundles already in service.
How quickly will we hear from someone after we report a failure?
You'll hear from one of our engineers within 24 hours to begin the conversation. Complex repairs like tubesheet or bundle replacement take longer than 24 hours to properly assess and cost, so that first response starts the conversation rather than delivering a full quote on the spot.
