How We Work With You
- 1Our Edinburgh Design Hub and Hawick manufacturing site operate in a seamless, collaborative way, so there's no handoff gap between design and production.
- 2Formal Design Collaboration Programmes mean our engineers work alongside yours throughout the project.
- 3Design support starts from the earliest project stage, using correlations drawn from industrial, academic, and proprietary sources.
Heat Exchanger Case Studies
Real projects where fouling, contamination, or unavailable specs called for a custom-engineered fix.

Can you build to our exact specification?
Yes. Every project starts with your application, constraints, and performance target. Our engineers design using proprietary software (Finglow, S-Calc), covering custom geometries and materials rather than a fixed catalogue range.
What lead times can we expect for OEM production runs?
It varies by unit, so we confirm it with every quotation. The main factors are design complexity (tube count and welding), whether the tubes are standard stock or a bespoke specification that needs procuring, and any finishing such as powder coating or galvanising, which adds a stage after fabrication. For OEM customers on repeat orders we can hold stock and plan capacity ahead, which brings delivery down on subsequent units.
How quickly will we hear from someone after we send a spec?
You'll hear from one of our engineers within 24 hours to begin the conversation. Bespoke designs like shell & tube take longer than 24 hours to properly cost and spec, so that first response starts the conversation rather than delivering a full quote on the spot.
