Find the perfect industrial space heating solution

Selecting the most appropriate heating products from our range of robust, heavy duty industrial heaters and heating systems will centre, first of all, around the availability of piped steam or hot water (LPHW/HPHW) or electricity in your building.

Industrial Air Curtains

Large open entrances can be source of significant heat loss and high energy bills. Air Curtains can make huge difference. They deliver a continuous wall of air from either the top to the bottom of an entrance or from side to side, separating the air between two environments of different temperatures. The Sonniger Guard Pro Air Curtain range is ideal for environments such as warehouses and factories, large retail outlets, exhibition halls and similar spaces with high traffic, frequently open entrances. At 2m max. in length for safe installation, these units are often mounted in a row to cover wide openings.

These ultra-powerful Air Curtains deliver air flows of 5,800m3/hr to 9,200 m3/hr depending on the model selected and both hot water-fed (LPHW) and electric heated versions as well as non-heated ‘ambient’ temperature models are available.

Industrial Unit Heaters

Powerful fan driven space heaters, mounted at height, take the nip out of industrial spaces making them pleasant places in which to operate. What ever the energy source, we have a robust range of heaters suitable for the broadest range of industrial settings.

Steam Unit Heaters

Steam fed space heating is ideal where a plant has piped steam from steam boiler. The long established, extremely robust Thermolier steam heater brand is synonymous with high performance and durability. These units are suitable for a steam supply of up to10 bar. ATEX rated models are available on 3-phase versions. In addition to heating these can be found in use for drying applications. Models are available to deliver from 3kW up to a mammoth 88kW heat output (based on 3 bar stem pressure at 200C ambient temp.) and can be mounted from height of 3m to 7m.

LPHW Unit Heaters

Where piped hot water is available, the Sonniger HEATER CR unit heater is a great economical and powerful workhorse. Constructed from ultra-light materials this unit heater weighs only 12-17kg when full (depending on model) which is of huge benefit when it comes to installation. Its great, modern aesthetics make it great choice for public buildings and exhibition centres as well as factories, workshops, warehouses, plant rooms etc. Models are available to deliver from 16-58kW (at mean water temp 70C & internal temp 0-20C) and can be mounted from 3m-7m.

Electric Unit Heaters

Where high level electrical heating is called for, the highly effective Electric Thermolier is first choice. Models are available to deliver from 3kW to 20kW heat output..

Electric Finned Tube Radiators

Incredibly versatile and ruggedly stylish, the heavy duty Electric Finned Tube Radiator is the perfect choice for floor level space heating in industrial and commercial/public buildings alike. It is ideal for plant room frost protection and construction site modular buildings and with its IP65 rating it can also be used in areas where washing down may occur such diverse places such as dairies, kennels, catteries, zoos and greenhouses. It is available in 360mm to 1935mm lengths with models to deliver heat outputs from 0.3kW to 2kW. A wire guard is recommended where human/animal contact with the hot surface cannot be avoided.

Finned/Gilled Tube

These helically tension wound finned tubes are typically used by heating specialists either building their own bespoke heating systems in large projects where long tube runs are required. It offers great versatility being able to run LPHW, HPHW and steam.

Finned tube is designed and manufactured on a project by project basis to meet customer specifications. Single tubes of up to 6 meters can be supplied with plain ends, flanged ends for joining together with a gasket, or threaded ends to join by means of coupling joints or unions. A variety of bore sizes are available from 25 to 80mm diameters.

Standard finned tube is supplied with a natural metal finish, but powder coating (any RAL colour) or a hot dip galvanised finish is available on request.

Baseboard

Baseboard is the most basic heat exchanger configuration of copper pipe and 76mm x 76 mm square aluminium fins.  It is supplied in standard 1m or 2m lengths and these individual lengths can be joined together using either brazed joints or compression joints. It is easily installed in a floor trench or in convector casing along corridors in airports, hospitals, schools, museums, supermarkets. It is widely used for replacement elements in refurbishment projects. Baseboard is also an ideal product for discreet under pew heating in churches.
